Gods and Monsters

Gods & Monsters explores the boundary where ancient mythology collapses into modern cinematic folklore. Synthesizing classical iconography with the silver-screen creature heritage of the 20th century, these digital paintings transform primordial beasts and filmic titans into luminous reliquaries. The hero is also celebrated, whether a muscician, child, matador or loved one. Through high-density digital impasto and emitted light, the series examines how humanity’s oldest archetype—the mythic monster—continues to evolve inside the screen age as a vessel for modern fear, awe, and collective memory.
